Evening was approaching. Max\u00edk and Majka were sitting on their beds, looking boredly at the window and panting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Oh, it's been a long day,\" Max\u00edk snorted to the heavens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Endless,\" Majka sighed, rearranging her imaginary lipsticks from one purse to another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"What is this?\" Max\u00edk became active for a moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Where?\" Majka asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"There, in the distance, outside the window,\" he pointed his finger towards the glowing tower of St. Elizabeth's Cathedral, \"is that by any chance...\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Max\u00edk didn't even finish speaking, the window flew open and Ka\u0161ko flew into the room. He was all excited, laughing and still flying around the room.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"What are you doing, Ka\u0161ko?\" Majka exclaimed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"What do you mean? I am flying. No, no, I am not flying, I am levitating!\" Ka\u0161ko exclaimed, making a pirouette under the ceiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Well done. You're lionizing and we're bored!\" Max\u00edk said a little angrily and through his teeth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"I'm not lionizing, I'm levitating.\" corrected Ka\u0161ko, \" but if you want, I can also lionize,\" he roared and started to walk on the walls like a lion in the bush.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Stop it, Ka\u0161ko!\" stopped him at once by his sulky siblings, \"we've been waiting for you all day!\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Excuse me, but an amazing thing happened to me today. Do you remember when we were in Slavo\u0161ovce and I showed you my family and friends and stuff?\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Of course we remember that.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"However, one family member was missing. Cousin Buki,\" Ka\u0161ko said his name and his eyes lit up, \"I thought he had moved to another city, but he remained loyal to Ko\u0161ice, we just somehow passed each other by.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"How could you pass?\" Majka wondered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Well simply. Do you meet all your friends from kindergarten or your cousins who live in \u0164ahanovce?\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Well, no,\" Majka admitted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"So, you see. Simply, each of us was flying in a different direction, and as you know, I like to discover places beyond the city limits,\" Ka\u0161ko explained and took off again to the loft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\"Now?!\" Both siblings asked at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"And when? Now is the best time. We won't be able to make it yesterday, and tomorrow might be too late.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The children's eyes lit up and their knees shook a bit with joy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Let's go,\" they both said firmly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Wait, but first I need to find out where he is now staying.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ka\u0161ko took a small tube out of his pocket, put it in his mouth and whistled. The children heard nothing, but they saw all the bats fluttering over the birch tree and looking around. Apparently, they had heard what Ka\u0161ko had done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"That's a special whistle. We made it with Buki so that we could call each other at any time,\" Ka\u0161ko explained, \"I can hear him now.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"He's somewhere near the zoo. Shall we go?\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Don't ask so many more questions and let's go.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ka\u0161ko took his friends into his ghostly arms, murmured an incantation, and they were off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"There's the zoo!\" Majka was pointing to Ka\u0161ko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"I can't see anyone there,\" Ka\u0161ko muttered to himself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Geeee, Ka\u0161kooooooooo, cuz,\" came from somewhere up the hill in front of the zoo, \"here am I!\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ka\u0161ko and his friends saw a kind of dot on the hill, which was changing into a line of fire and moving quickly downwards. \"That would be him,\" Ka\u0161ko pointed towards the line of fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They flew up the hill. Below them was a bobsled track. All metal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"What is it?\" Majka wondered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Banked chute. You haven't been here yet?\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"No,\" Max\u00edk replied, carefully examining the wonder thing he liked very much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"We used to go bobsledding here, during the year when there was no snow. Buki was always the fastest.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"And Ka\u0161ko is always slower,\" they heard behind them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Well, because I was breaking a bit,\" Ka\u0161ko explained the inexplicable, \"I wanted to see what was happening around me.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The children turned around and behind them stood a large, furry ghost that looked more like a Yeti than a human. He was about as tall as their father, but his head was growing horns. One, however, looked like a leaf from a tree, and just the same, acted like one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Wow, he is so tall.\" Majka thought when he saw Buki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Every ghost could choose the form he wanted, and this one is so creepy-cute,\" Max\u00edk added to her thoughts with his own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Buki reached out his hand to Max\u00edk and Majka<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"My name is Buki, and I am from the Good-Ghost family.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Max\u00edk.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Majka,\" she held out her hand to Buki, who kissed it gallantly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"You seem to be surprised, miss. That's how all town ghosts behave.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"How?\" Majka asked, surprised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Gallant.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Oh. Then I like gallantry,\" Majka said, laughing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"So, these are your friends,\" Buki looked at Majka and Max\u00edk, \" I like them.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"No wonder, they are the best kids in Ko\u0161ice.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"So you live in our town, too?\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Max\u00edk and Majka nodded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"And you haven't been here yet?\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"No, not yet\" the children confessed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Never mind, you're here now, and with two ghosts. What more do you want?\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"We want to take a bobsled ride with you,\" Max\u00edk blurted out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Well whatever. You just must choose your speed,\" he winked Buki at Ka\u0161ko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"How to choose?\" Majka didn't understand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"We want to fly!\" Max\u00edk blurted out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"How to choose?\" Majka didn't understand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Fly?\" Majka's eyes widened, and a little fear was visible in them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Don't worry, if it's quick you'll close your eyes and I'll hug you,\" her brother assured her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"You promise?\" Majka grabbed his hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"I promise.\" Max\u00edk raised his index and middle fingers in the air, \"and besides, there are two ghosts watching over us.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"That's right,\" Majka mused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Well then?\", asked Buki, who had been whispering something to Ka\u0161ko during the time Majka and Max\u00edk had been negotiating.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Flying!\" Majka confirmed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Okay, but you have to promise us something,\" Ka\u0161ko leaned towards the children.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"What?\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"You can fly here with us, but if you come here alone, you'll be careful and only go fast enough so Majka won't be scared.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Deal!\" Max\u00edk promised.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Majka will go with Ka\u0161ko and you, Max\u00edk, will come with me.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Agreed\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Majka will go with Ka\u0161ko and you, Max\u00edk, will come with me.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Majka sat in the bobsled, Ka\u0161ko sat behind her. They buckled up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Cousin, I'm standing downstairs and timing you,\" Buki winked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Now you're going to lose, cousin,\" said Ka\u0161ko, putting on his racing goggles and a 19th-century racing cap.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"We'll see,\" Buki smiled and flew down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Ready, steady, go\" Max\u00edk started off Ka\u0161ko and Majka and when he said \u201cgo!\u201d he played his harmonica on their way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The bobsled flew like crazy. Majka sometimes had the feeling that they didn't go in the reserved boundaries, which don't let the bobsleds go to the right or to the left. At one point she even closed her eyes. And then she felt an abrupt stop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Uhhhh, well, cousin, well,\" Buki murmured appreciatively, \"your best time yet.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"I think so. We flew like a whirlwind, didn't we Majka?\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Like a whirlwind,\" Majka repeated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Did you like it?\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"It was wonderful,\" Majka sighed, \"but next time I'll go with Max\u00edk or Mummy and we'll slow down a bit. I guess I'll have a better time that way.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Next time you can, but today was a race,\" Ka\u0161ko patted her shoulder, \"and you were great,\" he whispered in her ear.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"You stay downstairs, cousin , and I'm going to Max\u00edk's,\" impatient Buki was allotting the tasks, \"Majka, will you go and get us started?\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"With pleasure.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Fine. Come on.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Buki took Majka in his arms and they were off.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"You have the same flying style as Ka\u0161ko.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"For we are one ghostly blood,\" he hissed proudly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Buki sat down behind Max\u00edk, who was already waiting for him strapped in the bobsled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Ready, Max\u00edk?\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Sure!\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Don't worry, I'm right behind you.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"I'm not afraid,\" Max\u00edk said determinedly, playing a marching military song on his harmonica to encourage himself, \"I'm looking forward to it.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Majka, you can start us now!\" Buki exclaimed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Ready, steady, go!\" Majka finished the last \"go\" and Buki and Max\u00edk were already flying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Well, that's speed,\" sighed Majka, \"they'll win for sure.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"We need to a bit faster, Max\u00edk,\" Buki said quickly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Okay!\" Max\u00edk replied, gripping harder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And that's when it happened. Buki somehow inadvertently uttered the formula of the incantation, and the bobsled flew into the air.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"We're flying, Buki!\" Max\u00edk shouted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"You're dreaming,\" shouted a satisfied Buki, \"it's the speed.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"It's not the speed, look down!\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Buki looked down and there he saw two camels looking in surprise at the wonder that flew above them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"I guess you're right, Max\u00edk.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Guess?\" Max\u00edk looked reproachfully at Buki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Okay, okay, I'm sure you're right. Get ready to land.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Buki slammed on the brakes and the bobsled slowly landed on the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In the meantime, Ka\u0161ko was waiting down below the bobsled track. He looked at his watch and spoke:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Victory is already ours! Wow, we have won!\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Ka\u0161kooooooo, Buki and Max\u00edk have flown away!\" Majka shouted at the top of her lungs, running down the track.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"What?\" Ka\u0161ko didn't understand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"They were flying towards the zoo.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ka\u0161ko took Majka and they flew to Buki and Max\u00edk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"I can't see them anywhere,\" Ka\u0161ko murmured worriedly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Look, there they are - they're just landing, on the bobsled,\" Majka pointed over the beautiful trees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"We're going after them,\" Ka\u0161ko decided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ka\u0161ko and Majka flew in the direction where they saw the bobsled landing. They landed by our pilots and Ka\u0161ko uttered:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"I think Majka and I have won!\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Hushsh,\" Buki soothed him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Why hushsh, have we won or not?\" Ka\u0161ko asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"I don't know. Do you think it's possible that we're flying so fast that we've gone back in time?\" Buki asked so strangely.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Into the past?\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"To what past?\" Majka asked quietly, a little frightened, remembering that they had only been out for a little while and her mother might be looking for them. She might find them on the bobsled run, but in the past?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"To the distant past,\" Buki whispered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"And why are you whispering?\" Ka\u0161ko asked, now also whispering. Then he noticed Max\u00edk, who was just standing there, looking up, his mouth open, and not moving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Buki stared in the same direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ka\u0161ko and Majka looked there as well, and like Max\u00edk and Bukli, they stayed motionless. On the hill, there stood a tyrannosaurus rex.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"We flew on the bobsled to prehistoric times.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"How is that possible?\" Ka\u0161ko asked worriedly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"I don't know, but you can see that for yourself,\" replied a still puzzled Buki.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Look over there.\" Majka tugged on Buki's sweatshirt and pointed towards a small lake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They all looked there and saw another dinosaur. They looked around and saw that there were more of these prehistoric creatures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Why aren't they moving?\" Max\u00edk asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Good question, buddy,\" Buki mused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Let's approach them slowly,\" Ka\u0161ko suggested.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Get closer?!\" Majka exclaimed softly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"We have to. Something doesn't seem right,\" Ka\u0161ko insisted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Suddenly there was a dinosaur roar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They all jumped behind the nearest trees, anticipating disaster. After a while, Ka\u0161ko and Buki winked at each other and peeked out. The dinosaurs were in the same place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"So?\" Max\u00edk asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"They wouldn't move,\" Ka\u0161ko replied thoughtfully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"It's weird,\" Buki mused, \"we're getting closer.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"You wait here,\" Ka\u0161ko turned towards Majka and Max\u00edk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The children just nodded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Buki and Ka\u0161ko approached the dinosaurs with a slow ghostly step-jump.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"And we got you!\" The two exclaimed as one ghost as they wrapped their arms around the Tyrannosaurus Rex's neck and tail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But it didn't move.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"What is it?\" They looked around in amazement at the still standing dinosaur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"It's..... I now know.\" Buki smacked his palm on his forehead, \"we're at the zoo in Ko\u0161ice now.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"And we have a dinosaur park in it. One of the most beautiful such parks in Slovakia. Children can walk around and learn what the Mesozoic world looked like,\" explained Buki to Ka\u0161ko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"And these are just....\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Decoys?\" Max\u00edk interrupted Ka\u0161ko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Exactly,\" Buki testified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"They are perfect. I was really worried for a while that we had been transported back a few million years.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"How could you think of that?\" Buki laughed mockingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"We're here with two ghosts who like to have fun, like to travel, compete on the bobsled....\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Okay, okay...\" they finished Max\u00edk's conversation with Buki and Ka\u0161ko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Can we walk around?\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Come on!\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The children walked around the dinosaur park with the little ghosts, admiring the beautiful replicas of dinosaurs that may never have lived here, but somewhere in the world they were exactly like this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Are dinosaurs still alive today?\" Majka asked, admiring the little dinosaur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Of course,\" replied Ka\u0161ko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"What?\" the children exclaimed in surprise.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"For example, a crocodile or a turtle or a whale, a raven or an ostrich. These are descendants of dinosaurs,\" Ka\u0161ko explained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Really?\" Majka looked at the ghosts in disbelief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Let\u2019s go,\" Buki commanded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The little ghosts took the children by the hands and are already flying through the gate to the zoo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Look at this ostrich or that emu.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The children were watching, watching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Imagine them about five times bigger with big claws and a huge beak,\" Ka\u0161ko helped.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"You're right!\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Look at that tiger down there.\" Buki pointed to the tiger, which was just licking its huge paw.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Imagine that it has little tusks growing on the edges of his muzzle, or that it has more fur.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"I have never looked at the animals that are in our zoo like that,\" Max\u00edk confessed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Well, you can try it now.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Max\u00edk and Majka ran around the zoo and found out which animal has which prehistoric ancestor. And it was a long walk indeed. After all, the Ko\u0161ice Zoo is the largest in Slovakia and one of the largest in Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Children saw snakes and reptiles, birds of prey, exotic animals such as llamas, camels, zebras and more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They didn't even notice as the moon appeared in the sky.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"We should go home, what if Mummy comes looking for us,\" suggested Majka, who noticed the moon first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"You're right. We're going home,\" the ghosts agreed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ghosts took the children by their hands and in a moment they were home.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The children went to bed and fell asleep immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Buki and Ka\u0161ko sat on the window looking at the moon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"You've got great mates,\" Buki spoke up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"I know. You can come over anytime and have fun with us.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"I have enough duties you know, now I accompany the kids all over Ko\u0161ice and we collect stickers together, but just whistle, and when I can, I'll fly, I'll run, I'll show up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And the two of us can have a bobsled race any time your friends fall asleep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Or in a city park or....\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Anywhere in our super city,\" Ka\u0161ko stopped Buki's suggestions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"In my super city!\" Buki laughed and elbowed Ka\u0161ko.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They looked up at the tower of St Elizabeth's Cathedral.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"We chose a good place to live.\" Buki whispered.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"And an even better county!\" Ka\u0161ko added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"True, true!\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\"Okay, I agree.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n
They nudged each other and laughed quietly, so as not to wake Max\u00edk and Majka.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
